Every year the Shoppers Drug Mart Weekend to End Women's Cancers brings thousands of people from across the country together for one cause: Find a cure to end all women's cancers. This year there are 5 stops on the tour (Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto), each more memorable than the last. Through all the blood, sweat and tears shed by the walkers, there are a lot of smiles.

BOOM! Marketing & George Brown College

We decided to team up with George Brown College, to get a better understanding of the Sport and Event Marketing Post Graduate Degree program, that has seen thousands of students successfully graduate and become part of the innovative wave and growth in Experiential Marketing. We conducted interviews with program coordinator Margery Taylor and Professor Emma Stringer to get their take on the state of the industry and how their program adjusts to the changing tides.

BOOM! Marketing & Andretti Autosport 2nd Annual Race Weekend Kick Off Event

For the 2nd consecutive year, BOOM! Marketing produced an all-star race weekend kick-off event, on the rooftop of the exclusive Thompson hotel. Mike Conway, Marco Andretti, Danica Patrick and Ryan Hunter-Reay were some of the celebrity drivers in attendance. The legendary Michael Andretti was also present, with of course, the entire Andretti Autosport family, an iconic racing name synonymous with winning.

Top 5: Ways to help Free To Run 2011

Run 2011 that will be happening this Saturday in High Park. it is a 5-10k Charity Run, with all proceed going to the Free The Children Foundation. This event is being hosted by a group of students from the George Brown College, Sport and Event Marketing Program, as part of their year end final project.

BOOM! YoU! Halifax Blog

I recently attended BOOM YoU! in Halifax and it was memorable indeed! BOOM! Marketing is different from any other marketing company I’ve ever known. As you walk in a room full of great food and music, the differences versus any other organization are easy to see. The room was full of diverse personalities – full of energy! The BOOM! head office team made everyone feel welcome as we were all greeted with warm smiles.

Leadership: We all have the Power to Lead from Within

Quarterly, BOOM! holds Book Banter, a personal & team development initiative, where the team comes together to discuss something we've read - a book, a blog, a quote - and reflect on it as a group. This initiative started when BOOM! was no more than a handful of office staff as a means to frugally foster growth and development. Now, with sessions of Book Banter that see more than 35 people, it continues to feed people's zeal for learning and promotes motivation and empowerment amongst the team.
