3 Reasons to Activate a Title Sponsorship

How many times has a credit card banner along the rink boards motivated you to go apply for one? Or, how often do you buy a case of wine because it’s the title sponsor of a major event? Most likely your answer is never, yet, we continue to see it all the time. As experiential marketing continues to grow, activating these types of sponsorships has become one of the main pillars of the business. There are many reasons as to why this method of activation is so effective, yet three stand out the most: The chance to be in the right place at the right time; Opportunity to create true moments of brand engagement; Creating strong ROI. Relevant activations ensure that there is a direct relationship between the brand experience and the sponsorship – the connection of the two is where and when the magic happens and leaves an impression that resonates long after the consumer has left the event.

BOOM!er Spotlight: Cam Williams & Courage Canada

Hey everybody, Cam here! The last time I spoke to you here I told you about my experience taking part in an inline skating campaign from Toronto to Vancouver for my charity, Courage Canada. Well my best friend, Mark DeMontis and I are back at it again this year. This time we are skating across the East Coast of Canada! We’ll be skating from Halifax to Toronto.

On the road with Royale and Eric!

Eric Polo has been a BOOM!er for quite some time now. He has worked on a variety of programs and this year he is leading the charge, along with his teammate Michael, on the Royale Tour. Eric and Michael started crossing the country for the Shoppers Drug Mart Weekend to End Women's Cancers in June, with the first stop in Ottawa. Since then they have also been to Calgary and recently, Vancouver. We caught up with Eric earlier in the tour and asked him a few questions about his experience as a mobile tour supervisor and what it's like to drive a giant role of bathroom tissue across the country!

BOOM!er Spotlight: David Graham

Back in the cold days of winter a friend of mine told me about the TriAdventure; a challenge to conquer a 3 km swim, 15 km run, 15 km canoe and 140 km bike over three days in August. Roughly fifty athletes & volunteers commit to the event in support of African youth living at the Nikibasika Learning and Development Project in Uganda whose lives have been impacted by HIV/Aids or civil war. This triathlon is the primary source of funding that covers their food, shelter and education.

The Bureau of Doing Something About It!

From July 20th to July 31st 2011 the ‘Bureau of Doing Something About It’, a Bruce Mau Design (BMD) Pop Up Studio, was exhibiting the most creative collections of complaints Toronto has ever seen! Teaming up with the Toronto Complaints Choir for the first time, this instillation aims to bring Torontonians grievances to life and provide solutions to them, in an interactive and engaging experiential setting. Amanda Happé, Senior Designer at BMD spear headed the project and had it in the works since late last year.
