Eric Polo has been a BOOM!er for quite some time now. He has worked on a variety of programs and this year he is leading the charge, along with his teammate Michael, on the Royale Tour. Eric and Michael started crossing the country for the Shoppers Drug Mart Weekend to End Women's Cancers in June, with the first stop in Ottawa. Since then they have also been to Calgary and recently, Vancouver. We caught up with Eric earlier in the tour and asked him a few questions about his experience as a mobile tour supervisor and what it's like to drive a giant role of bathroom tissue across the country!

It wasn't until a friend of mine, Bryan, who had been working at the Whaleshark Oceanic Research Centre told me about an impoverished neighborhood called Camponado, a few hundred meters from Main Street that I became aware of the alternate reality of the island. Due to time constraints, I had to leave Utila, but flash forward two years later. I pitched the idea of researching the barrio to my MFA thesis advisors at Ryerson University in Toronto, and got on a plane this past November to spend two and a half months on the island.

This week, we had so many good ideas that we had to make it a TOP 6!

1.    Having to wear your ugly sweater that Grandma gave you when you were 15 years old 2.    Extending the dining room table and squeezing around in improvised seating including the piano bench, desk chairs and love seat 3.    There is no question about it...
