2012 Autoshows : It’s all about the Data

Last month the 44th Annual Montreal International Auto Show kicked off with a bang and the Canadian International Autoshow (@autoshowcanada) will be even bigger in Toronto this week. Thousands of people will attend these shows to get a glimpse of what’s new and innovative in car designs, but for the brands, it’s all about live data capturing. Autoshows provide the perfect setting for car companies to interact and engage with consumers for long periods of time, but driving consumers to purchase isn’t easily done with free samples or coupons here. This is why data capturing is so important. Exciting consumers and creating avenues for long-term communication is what these events are all about.

Video Editing: The Same Day Edit

You went to an event all day and then have the rest of the night to pump out a 1- minute piece for the next day to post on the web. Yes, this does exist and yes it can be difficult. Same day edits are not always the norm, so don’t let this concept stray you from taking on a project, but if you are not prepared and don’t have a bit of a game plan in place, it can sure make for a long night!

BOOM!er Spotlight – Jessica’s Charity Event

Hello BOOM! family! My name is Jessica Houghton and it’s been a while since I’ve worked with you all, because I’ve been quite busy. For the past three months, I have been working with my dance studio, Pegsus Studios, to put together their annual benefit concert, Dances of Offering. I have been performing, choreographing, and helping out with this show since it was first put on 10 years ago. This year I am helping to organize the social media and online efforts that go into the planning and promotion of the show. I’d love to share with you what this show is all about and encourage you to come out and enjoy an evening of dance with us!

BOOM!er Spotlight: Kayleigh from Andretti Sports Marketing!

For the few short weeks I’ve been in Toronto, I’ve been asked this series of questions more than a handful of times: ‘Your boss is Michael Andretti? So, you know him?’ These questions are usually posed by one of the many motorsports fans living in this lovely Canadian city. Michael Andretti is typically recognized for his amazing driving career and ownership of Andretti Autosport, an INDYCAR team based out of Indianapolis, IN. However, a recent addition to his current list of recognizable accomplishments is the launch of Andretti Sports Marketing which is coincidentally the same reason I’ve found myself in this fair city.

Women in Leadership Luncheon Toronto

A few weeks back, we posted a piece on the Women In Leadership (WIL) luncheon that our President, Nicole Gallucci, hosted. The audience was engaged, entertained and empowered by the captivating speakers whose personalities and experience spanned the professional landscape. The passwords they shared motivated the audience to think about what passwords help unlock their own personal and professional success. We are proud to present you the recap video from the event… please check out the link below.
